This part of the scenic Garden Route offers numerous attractions and things to do – whether in the Village, on the Route, or in towns close by. The Garden Route’s quaintest village is a perfect stop-over when travelling from Cape Town, and also a great weekend destination. So add Great Brak River to your itinerary when planning a trip to our area – but be warned that you could find it so enticing that you might want to linger longer!

The Fragrance Route

This country meander starts just outside charming Great Brak River. A circular road – both tar and gravel, about 40 km when measured from the N2 – takes one towards historic Friemersheim, past game and dairy farms with great bird watching opportunities along the way. Read More
